TERMINATION OF TRADING PRIVILEGES
BUYERS
Buying members should call the Barter Business Exchange at (919) 469-5538 to discuss all desired purchases. Your Barter Broker will give you the contact names, addresses & phone numbers of those members who will be able to fulfill your needs.
It’s the Buyer’s responsibility to contact the Seller. To save time and eliminate confusion, the Buyer should only speak with the contact person given by their Barter Broker.
Buyer presents his/her barter card to the Seller at the time of purchase.
All trades are 100% barter. Please notify BBE immediately if you are encouraged to break the rules!
All taxes & gratuities are to be paid in cash by the Buyer to the Seller.
Buyers are encouraged to always get written estimates when needed to avoid billing disputes.
Special instructions for BBE scrip & punch cards:
BBE restaurants & some entertainment companies accept BBE scrip for payment. Jersey Mike’s of Cary is the only restaurant using punch cards (wallet sized gift certificates that can be used at one location several times). To order punch cards and gift certificates,
call BBE at (919) 469-5538.

SELLERS
All goods & services are to be sold at your prevailing retail price.
All trades are 100% barter.
All taxes & gratuities are to be paid in cash by the Buyer to the Seller.
In order to receive credit for a barter transaction, the Seller must:
- Complete a 3-part form for each transaction & obtain a legal signature.
- Call BBE at (919) 469-5538 for an authorization number before releasing goods & services. For 24-hour/7 day a week access, call the 24-hour line at (919) 469-5548.
- Seller mails the top white copy of the signed & completed 3-part form to:

If the signed 3-part form is not submitted to the BBE office within 30 days of issuance of statement, BBE has the right to reverse the trade, in which event, it will be the responsibility of the Seller to collect all monies owed from the Buyer.

TERMINATION OF TRADING PRIVILEGES
BBE reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate the account of any member if:
- BBE has received more than two (2) complaints for either poor performance or attempting to charge in excess of member’s normal retail prices.
- Client commits fraud against BBE or other Clients.
- Client is charging cash or is overpricing.
- Client is trading directly with other Clients to avoid paying cash transaction fees. Such trades will result in the termination of trading privileges for both Clients involved.
- Client is not following the Trading Policies and Procedures of BBE.
